Elizabeth and Michael planned a big Chicago wedding but because of the pandemic they decided to downsize and get married in a place that was very special to them. They asked me to come along and of course I said yes. I always love the opportunity to travel for a wedding and photograph in a brand new landscape.
Michael proposed to Elizabeth at Wild Eagle Lodge up in Eagle River, Wisconsin so they decided that would be the perfect spot for their rescheduled wedding. Along with their closest friends, family and cute fluffy dog Diesel, they traveled up north to tie the knot at this very special place. I had never been before so I had no idea what to expect. I loved the woodsy feel. It really was beautiful. The unexpected snowfall that seemed to come out of nowhere really added to the magic of it all.
When you travel for photography, it is so important to make sure you capture the location of the event. I photo scouted earlier in the day before their wedding and discovered this gorgeous spot right on the side of the road! It really doesn’t take much to make magical photos. Keep your eyes open and you might stumble upon something you wouldn’t have considered. I am always up for traveling for a wedding. Feel free to contact me to ask about rates!
